#ShapingCLT -Â is an ever-evolving round table event that brings together thought leaders in our community who represent a variety of perspectives on trending issues. The program aims to provide tangible takeaways that will help build a more equitable Charlotte. Come connect with other socially engaged community members and be a part of the conversation.

What is it going to take before we commit to real change? What happened to George Floyd is what has happened to countless men and women of color at the hands of law enforcement – or white people who positioned themselves as law enforcement – for centuries in this country. Disregarding this history keeps bringing us to this critical moment.
If you do not understand the history that got us to this place, then you will not make a difference. We need to know and understand the history in order to ask the right questions and work towards change. Join us for a series of conversations, where we ask, "What is it going to take?"

These festival-style day-long events occur 5 times a year at Levine Museum. Great for families with children, these programs coincide with school holidays (e.g. Martin Luther King Day), celebrate important holidays to our diverse communities (such as Day of the Dead, Juneteenth), and commemorate special dates in Charlotte (including International Women’s Month.) Family Day events feature free admission and a variety of fun and meaningful family-oriented activities, games, foods, exhibits, and performances throughout the day.

Join us for special programming on a myriad of topics and in partnership with valued community partners.
