In this free roundtable community discussion, facilitated by Jermaine Nakia Lee, you’ll hear from local advocates about their experiences and insights, learn how some local Charlotte advocacy and service-oriented groups function, and how you can contribute to uplifting and protecting community members and seeing change in our community.

Discover the history and impact of some important local organizations, including Time Out Youth, Charlotte Black Pride, POOR NO MORE, ourBRIDGE for KIDS, Block Love CLT and how you can get involved. If you’re curious where to begin your advocacy and service work, this conversation is for you! Are you ready to expand your efforts and learn about more organizations? This conversation is for you!

Community Conversations is designed for an audience of forward-facing problem solvers and individuals who want to create change in their community. It encourages round- table dialogue amongst attendees and guest panelists, prompted by conversation starters aligned with the evening’s theme. This series explores themes of interest to local communities and creates space for intentional conversations that enlighten and spark change.
