Tradition, Remembrance, and Joy!

Festival Día de Muertos 2025

What a beautiful Festival Día de Muertos! Thank you to everyone who joined us on November 1 for this powerful day of remembrance and joy.

The festival, in conjunction with our great partners, Latin American Coalition, is part of our Family Day series, a collection of community events that celebrate history, culture, and connection throughout the year. Festival Día de Muertos invites families from across Charlotte to dance, sing, create, eat, and honor the multi-cultural stories that help shape our community.

Community, Culture and Change

Good conversations pair well with good beer. On November 20, we hosted a unique night of tasting, storytelling, and hands-on dialogue about Charlotte’s history and future. Together, we explored how preservation connects to community identity, and how each of us can be part of shaping what endures.

Thank you to Free Range Brewing for hosting us and everyone who joined us.

Give Back This Season

We are proud to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina to help ensure families across our region have access to the food and essentials they need.

From now through Dec. 12, we’re collecting nonperishable items at the VAPA Center to support Second Harvest’s mission to feed families, stock local food pantries, and strengthen our community.

Donor Spotlight

Meet Linda Bain Clark

“I feel good when I’m amongst the people who support the museum because we’re all there for a common reason. We love the museum and want to see it succeed.  We know that it brings valuable insight, information, guidance and direction to individuals as well as to the larger community, the spiritual community, and schools at all levels.”
