A Day of Adventure & Catawba Culture!

Our recent Catawba-themed Day Camp was a joyful day of learning and play! Campers explored Catawba traditions through storytelling, language activities, a nature walk and scavenger hunt, animal mask making, pottery, and games. The day was filled with creativity, laughter, and hands-on learning, ending with a sense of community and connection.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special celebration of Catawba culture!

Meet Joni Emry.
“I moved to Charlotte 20 years ago and wanted my daughter and I to fully learn about the city, with nothing overlooked. I’ve supported the Museum for several years and appreciate its creative ways to connect people to history, from its Our New South podcast to Brooklyn neighborhood tours. I value how open Levine Museum is to new approaches.”
Meaningful Conversations
Last week, Levine Museum hosted a powerful Community Conversation on Teaching & Learning History. Educators and student voices came together to share how history can be made more authentic, relatable, and inclusive in today’s world. Stay tuned for future conversations that spark dialogue and connection!
