From Montgomery To Selma

From Montgomery To Selma

Join us for a screening of the documentary short, From Montgomery to Selma, followed by a panel discussion featuring our 2025-26 Catalyst Fellows and moderated by Rev. Dr. Rodney Sadler.

The documentary follows our nine Catalyst Fellows on a transformative journey through some of Alabama’s most pivotal Civil Rights landmarks – The Legacy Museum, The National Memorial for Peace and Justice, and The Freedom Monument Sculpture Park.

And a reflective walking tour in Selma, Alabama, where they crossed the historic Edmund Pettus Bridge, the site of the 1965 Bloody Sunday march, leaving forever changed by what they witnessed.

Following the screening, the evening will include an insightful panel discussion where the students will share their reflections on the experience and the impact it had on them. Through personal stories and thoughtful conversation, they will explore how the journey has influenced their understanding of leadership, community, and their capacity to make a difference.

The evening promises to inspire and ignite meaningful conversations – amplifying youth voices and their hopes for our collective future.
