Our August 8th professional development on Facilitating Civil Discussions in schools was an incredible success! Educators explored practical strategies for fostering respectful dialogue whether with students, colleagues, or the wider school community. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many participants leaving not only with new tools but also with a genuine desire to continue learning and growing in this vital area.
Levine Museum’s Digital Team, with Next Chapter Podcast, is working on exciting guests and additions for Season 3 of the Our New South podcast. Listeners can look forward to engaging new segments and in-depth discussions that will explore contemporary issues and highlight the rich stories of the region. Our team recently gathered for a staff retreat hosted by Worth Advisors – thanks to our board chair, Glen Wright, CEO of Worth Advisors. Through team-building exercises and breakout sessions, we had space to connect, reflect, and collaborate on the work we’re doing now and where we’re headed next.

Our community engagement increased by 59% as we presented exhibitions, programs, celebrations, digital and educational experiences throughout the city of Charlotte allowing audiences to gain deeper insights into history and the communities shaping our city and region.
