Levine Museum of the New South invites you on an unforgettable journey through Alabama’s most powerful
historic sites—places that echo with the courage, struggle, and resilience of generations past.
This immersive experience is more than a trip—it’s a call to deepen your understanding of America’s civil rights legacy and its relevance today. Guided by LMNS’s Museum Historian, participants will engage in curated conversations and reflection while traveling together by charter bus to Montgomery and Selma.
Trip Highlights Include:
- A guided visit to the Equal Justice Initiative’s three legacy sites:
- The Legacy Museum
- The National Memorial for Peace and Justice
- The Freedom Monument Sculpture Park
- A walking tour of Selma, Alabama, including a reflective crossing of the historic Edmund Pettus Bridge, site of the 1965 Bloody Sunday march.
- Group dialogue and historical framing throughout the journey, led by LMNS’s historian.
- Shared meals, curated reflections, and a final reception to process and honor the experience together
