Please join us for a reception hosted by Museum President & CEO Kathryn Hill and a screening of the documentary 9/4/57. Produced by award-winning reporter, Steve Crump, this film chronicles the events of September 4, 1957 when 15-year-old Dorothy Counts became the face of school integration by attending Harding High School amidst hostile and violent racism. Crump and the film’s subject Counts-Scoggins, will facilitate a discussion with the audience following the movie screening.
