DESCRIPTION:Join the Levine Museum of the New South and Queens University for a discussion about food insecurity in and around historically Black neighborhoods. Panelists Rickey Hall (West Boulevard Neighborhood Coalition), Eboné Lockett (Harvesting Humanity), and Tina Postel (Nourish Up) will lead a dialogue asking: what is a “food desert” and why do they exist in Charlotte? Where are food deserts in our community and why are they there? What can we do to help end food insecurity in our communities?\nModerated by Queens Hunger Ambassadors Ameyo Olivia Codjie and Jay Stone.\n \nRegister\nParking is free and available on site.\n\n2024-25 Queens University Hunger Challenge Fellows Program\nQueens University is participating in the NC Collegiate Hunger Challenge, a partnership between NC Campus Engagement and Food Lion Feeds. This important initiative is designed to raise awareness of the realities of food insecurity, and to work collaboratively to alleviate food insecurity on our campus and in the community.\n
