Triumph. Truth ( https://www.museumofthenewsouth.org/men-of-change/ ). Engage in a series of diverse health-based activities designed for adults, children, and families of all backgrounds and experience levels. \nThis Community Health & Wellness Day will feature our fourth Community of Change conversation. This conversation will create a safe space to highlight needs and resources impacting the mental health of Black men and boys in our community. \nLocation:\nCharlotte-Mecklenburg Library – West Boulevard Branch\n2157 West Blvd  Charlotte NC, 28202\nDate:\nSaturday, February 11, 2023\nTime:\n1:00 -4:00 pm \nSchedule of Events: \n1:00 – 1:30 \nYMCA  Mental Moment\nCommunity Room\nA  mindfulness and breathing exercise led by Pamela Hampstead\n1:30 – 2:15\nYMCA Active Kids program exercise \nChildren’s Area\nSalsa dance and aerobics led by James Davis, AKA “The Panda”\n1:30 – 3:00\nCommunity of Change: Black Men and Mental Health \nCommunity Room \nA retreat-style conversation that positions our guests as the main contributors on self-care and mental health for Black men. Led by mindfulness instructor Mario Jovan and Jarrett Evans, LCMHC, NCC.\n3:00 – 3:30 \nYMCA active body and mind session \nCommunity Room\nBody Weight Circuit Training. A no-equipment workout for healthy aging led by Antonio Henry.\n3:00 – 4:00 \nMixed Metaphors workshop for adults and children of all ages \nCommunity Room\nPop in with Miex Metaphors Productions and explore, investigate, and uplift Black mental health through music, spoken word, and our maker station.
