Tours and group visits are self-guided. If you would like a guided tour,
there is a $25.00 fee. When you call to book your visit, please indicate

New South Journeys

What is the New South? Travel through our main exhibit, Cotton Fields to Skyscrapers, and discover the New South from field to factory to finance with a guide.
African American Historic Highlights

Explore our main exhibit, Cotton Fields to Skyscrapers, with a guide and discover the first black textile mill owner, Good Samaritan Hospital's Chapel, the roots of the sit-in movement and significant events in the history of African Americans in the Carolina Piedmont.
Self Guided Option
Set your own pace and tour Cotton Fields to Skyscrapers on your own. A brief staff orientation and a 10 minute orientation video will help your group get started.
