Levine Museum of the New South is no longer accepting applications for Summer 2017 applications. 

Levine Museum's Education Department offers two internship opportunities that are ideal for diligent, self-starters who have a passion for history, education and community. Our internship program gives individuals a hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience at one of the leading and innovative history museums in the nation.

Paid Internship

Beginning in March, our department seeks interns for our highly competitive summer internship.

Selected interns will be placed on teams and work collaboratively and individually on projects, exhibit and program development and more.

There is a small stipend associated with the summer position.

  • Letter of recommendation
  • Application

Unpaid Internships

Our unpaid internships provide participants with the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the fields of history, museum studies, education, programs and much more.

Interested participants must submit the following:

  • Current resume
  • Brief Statement of Interest (one page) including how will the internship assist with the achievement of your goals and what you bring to the position
  • Availability during the semester including start date, days and times.

Unpaid internships are reviewed on a rolling basis with formal selections occurring within the first two weeks of the spring and fall semesters.
