Arts & Science Council

The Arts & Science Council is the Museum'ss largest funder, providing support through an annual basic operating grant and other program-specific grants.

The Leon Levine Foundation

With the help of an innovative $3M, 10-year Challenge Grant from The Leon Levine Foundation awarded in 2011, the Museum will assure its long-term sustainability and continued impact in our community.

Bank of America

Bank of America is the presenting sponsor of the 2-year exhibit and program series, Destination Freedom: Civil Rights Struggles Then and Now, and has previously sponsored other exhibitions and programs including Without Sanctuary and the Museum’s 20th anniversary celebration.

John S. and James L. Knight Foundation

The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation have provided generous support for the ¡NUEVOlution! Latinos and the New South exhibition opening in September 2015, and previously underwrote the Changing Places exhibition which won the Excellence in Exhibitions award from the American Alliance of Museums.

Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo has provided a $250,000 commitment as presenting sponsor of the ¡NUEVOlution! Latinos and the New South exhibit opening in September 2015, and has been a past presenting sponsor of Taste of the New South along with funding for educational programs and exhibits.

Belk

Belk has also provided a $250,000 commitment as presenting sponsor of the ¡NUEVOlution! Latinos and the New South exhibition opening in September 2015, and has provided long-time unrestricted support through corporate membership along with Taste of the New South sponsorships.

PNC

A relative newcomer to the Charlotte market, PNC has recently partnered with the Museum in very significant ways with its sponsorship of the 2014 Community Days which include our Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend and Day of the Dead celebrations. PNC is currently presenting sponsor of the LGBTQ Perspectives on Equality suite of exhibits.

Women's Impact Fund

In 2012, Levine Museum was honored to receive a two-year, $90,000 grant from the Women’s Impact Fund. This funding supported pilot programming for Latino New South, groundbreaking work that has served as the basis for our ¡NUEVOlution! Latinos and the New South exhibit.
